Just thought with so many different people on DA that I might get a different answer to the ones I've been given so far concerning medication. Anyone actually got a cure for these? I'm at a loss! 30+ years of them!
I get numbness, blindness, confusion, unable to talk or understand people or situations, severe pain, severe vomiting. These can last 3 days plus.
I've done the usual more times than I can count: avoiding light, the sun, not enough sleep, too much sleep, not skipping meals, eating well, routine, exercise, avoiding this or that food, avoiding strong smells, avoiding excitement, avoiding stress, keeping diary (which is really difficult) and avoiding life
I've tried for preventative meds : various blood pressure meds, various antidepressants, various anti epileptic meds, hormone meds, various triptans (tabs and injections), ibuprofen, paracetamol, aspirin, various strong painkillers, various anti sickness (tabs and injections). I even tried occipital nerve block injections in my head (which just made me go blind more often).
The only thing I've found that worked is being knocked out at hospital. But I hate waking up in a ward, and I can get 3+ a week, so this is not a viable treatment. Any ideas?
Please don't suggest imigran or similar - I've tried these in various tablet, nasal, and injection form - has zero effect, just leaves me unable to take painkillers.
I'm thinking a big mallet?
